I started going to gym a week back. Yesterday I did crunches (abs workout) and today morning I could not able to bend backwards. I tried really hard but it is paining in the stomach and below the chest regions. I am not able to diagnose myself what it is. Please guide me. Thank you!

Hello lybrate-user, The pain maybe due to crunches you did, since you have just recently joined the gym. Try to rest for few days and avoid gym till you are okay, or just stick to light exercises. However if the pain still persist or is unbearable, please show it to the doctor so he can prescribe you correct medication for it. Hope this helps!
