Dear Lybrate user, You seem to be getting anxious while writing, especially during exams. Experiencing a racing heart (palpitations), trembling hands or legs, having lots of thoughts in the mind are all ways in which anxiety gets manifested or expressed. If you try to control or stop these, they get enhanced as you become too aware of your bodily symptoms which in turn make you feel more anxious. Hence, just let that feeling pass as it will settle on its own in some time. Its good that you are practising mediation regularly. In addition to that, try the following techniques:- 1) Do deep breathing exercise before you enter the examination hall as it would help you to relax. 2) If you feel anxious while writing in the exam, just take a moment and try to focus on your breathing. It would settle the nerves and help you concentrate. 3) During your preparatory period, try to write as much as possible. Practice by attempting to complete a sample paper within the stipulated time. 4) Believe in yourself and have faith in your preparation! Best wishes.
