I am TTC since an year, got diagnosed B12 DEFICIENCY so took weekly 2 methylcobalamin injection and now my periods are delayed by 4 days and no signs of pregnancy symptoms. Never conceived earlier. Also on thyronorm tablets dose since an year. My periods are always regular. Tired of facing negative results so please advise as I read online that these injections affects periods.

No generally they do not affrct periods. Irregular periods are grnerally signs of hormonal imbalance.

Hi inj methycobalamin (vitamin b12) does not interfere with periods. Lack of vit b12 causes megaoblastic anemia. If anemia is severe then it may cause menstrual disturbances. Hypothyroidism is more likely to cause menstrual disturbances. Pls get tsh repeated once.

Get your thyroid function test done, vitamin b12 deficiency can cause irregular cycles, inj for correcting these not likely to cause irregular cycle, in your case hormonal imbalance is most likely cause for disturbed cycles.
