My husband (29) sperm volume-3.4 ml, concentration-7.23,total count-24.58, progressive motility-19.53. We did scan and the impression was bilateral varicocele. We have been married for 1 year but not yet get pregnancy. He is having past 3 months a tablet of ultra co Q10 one a day. And addyzio four for a day. Is there a chance of normal pregnancy? How long can we wait?

Dear lybrate-user, If there are no other fertility issues apart from varicocele. Then I would suggest your husband to undergo varicocelectomy. He should consult an urologist/ Fertility specialist. Chances of natural pregnancy are very low as sperm concentration and progressive Motility are very low. Also he need to undergo certain blood tests to evaluate hormonal status. If medical treatment is not showing any improvement after 3-4 months of therapy. Surgery is treatment of choice. Surgery is advised only for grade 2 n 3 varicocele. please consult with your doctor.
