Hello. I am a male, 49 years and 130 kg (obesity). Can I start taking orlistat to check weight gain. What is recommended dosage and potential side-effects (if any).

Usually it's not advisable to take but if you want to take recommended dose will be 120 mg three times a day with or after 1 hour of meal. Caution- food must contain fat & it should be more then 30% of fat or calories. Avoid heavy oily or caloric diet. Common side effects are faecal Incontinence, Oily evacuation, Urgency in bowel etc.
