Dear lybrate user, mouth ulcers are quite common in summers owing to the scorching heat. If you don't keep yourself hydrated enough, they are bound to occur. Consume foods and beverages that have a soothing and cooling effect on the body like coconut water, curd, skimmed milk, lemon juice etc. Besides these, drinking plenty of water and avoiding stress prevents oral ulcers.

It may be your personal observation otherwise these ulcers are more of stress induced that can be related to exams, job, marriage, friends n family related etc. Although exact cause of these ulcers are still unknown, you have to concentrate on physical workouts, yoga, meditation which helps to calm down stress. Maintain good oral hygiene, if these ulcers occur repeatedly (recurrent aphthous stomatitis) then you can consult me for proper care and maintenance of the same. No permanent treatment for these ulcers available till date, yet good news is it can be 99.99% curable with lasers. I myself have treated this in about 10 patients. Obviously its costly for many.

Hi lybrate-user! Mouth ulcers have a lot of underlying reasons to pop up into a person's oral cavity. Taking too much of stress, inadequate water intake, bad stomach and spoilt bowel habits, ragged teeth, too much spicy/hot food, medicine abuse etc. May also contribute to oral ulcers. It's quite obvious that in summers, if the water/fluid intake is too less, the ulcers might appear in the oral cavity (cheek, gums, tongue borders and floor of the mouth). The wise decision would be to visit the dentist nearby your place of residence and seek his more precise opinion. Meanwhile using Mucopain Gel (apply to the ulcers, thrice daily for 5 days) would definitely help. Happy Smiling! :)
