Tmj pain what is the history? Any trauma or Injury to the joint either or due to functional or any other has to be ruled out. You must take a CT scan preferably in mouth open and closed positions. Temporarily you may take a NSAID pain killer and it will relieve your inflammation too. A topical fomentation can be tried. Have soft diet. Use the other side for chewing. Support the lower jaw with your hand under when yawning. See an expert Oral Medicine specialist and take the proper treatment after the diagnosis is established.
