In some patients that drug tends to cause gastrointestinal upsets. In that situation patients are advised to take the tablets after taking food. That does not give any idea about how is the actual glucose control, because there is no information on fasting, pp glucose, hba1c%, dietary pattern, lipid profile, extent of daily exercise and bp readings.
