Exotic Drop belonging to the glucocorticoid class of medication, acts as a steroid. It treats various rheumatic disorders such as systemic lupus erythematous and rheumatoid arthritis. Many skin diseases including psoriasis and dermatitis, allergic conditions such as angioedema and asthma, certain blood disorders, certain eye and skin conditions. Multiple sclerosis, crohn's disease and leukaemia can also be treated with Exotic Drop. It can be administered into the body orally, in the form of an injection or applied as a cream. Being a corticosteroid, it works by decreasing inflammation and modifying the body's immune response to various conditions.

You are advised to not take this medication if you have allergy, systemic fungal infection or an active untreated infection. Exotic Drop can interact with a few other medicines so inform your doctor if you take amlodipine, mifepristone, warfarin, ethinyl, estradiol, insulin, ciprofloxacin, BCG vaccine. Also inform your doctor if you suffer from tuberculosis, electrolytic imbalance, gastrointestinal perforations, infections, myocardial infarction, ocular herpes infection, scleroderma or threadworm infection. This medicine is not recommended to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless absolutely required, in which case breastfeeding should be discontinued.

Serious side effects may include an increased risk of infection, severe allergic reactions, muscle weakness, and psychosis. Using Exotic Drop for a long time can cause adrenal insufficiency.     Tuberculosis

    This medicine should be used with caution in patients who have recently recovered from tuberculosis. The risks of a relapse are significantly high and hence close monitoring of signs and symptoms is necessary.

    Electrolyte Imbalance

    This medicine is known to cause imbalances in the levels of minerals like calcium, potassium, and sodium in the body. Hence it should be administered with caution in patients with a pre-existing electrolyte imbalance disorder.

    Gastrointestinal Perforations

    This medicine is known to cause perforations and bleeding in the gut especially when high doses are consumed. Hence this medicine should be administered with caution in patients having a pre-existing perforation disorder of the stomach or intestine.

    Infections

    This medicine can suppress the immune system especially if the dose is high. This may increase the chances of contracting an infection or reduce the capacity to fight an infection. Hence, this medicine or corticosteroids, in general, should not be used in patients with active infections.

    Myocardial Infarction

    Ocular Herpes Infection

    Scleroderma

    This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from this disease where the skin and connective tissue beneath becomes hard and stiff.

    Threadworm Infection

    This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from an infection caused by threadworm (Strongyloides).

    Amlodipine

    This medicine should not be used when you have taken a vaccine containing a live and attenuated strain of the bacteria or virus. Report any recent vaccine taken to the doctor so that suitable alternatives could be prescribed.
