Blemishes are normally caused from acne breakouts that lead to discoloration of skin as well as dark spots. They are also caused by factors like genetics, lack of hormonal balances, poor diet, excessive exposure to sun and ageing. The market is overloaded with different types of products to fight back blemishes but if you could detect the root of the cause, it will be easier to get rid of those embarrassing blemishes. Normally, blemishes are caused from bigger skin pores and there are several precautions that can be taken to alleviate the condition. Wash your face properly: Pores often get clogged with oil, dirt and germs that make them inflamed. But if you can wash your face once in the morning and night with a mild cleanser, your skin pores will become smaller. Apply baking soda: Baking soda helps in minimising the size of the skin pores and prevents acne formation at the same time. Take two teaspoons of baking soda and mix it with two teaspoons of warm water, and massage the paste in a circular motion for about half a minute and rinse off with cold water. But if you have a sensitive skin, you should be a bit cautious and perform a skin sensitivity test before applying the paste directly to your skin. Use a scrub: Contrary to face cleansers, the mild scrubs comprise of tiny beads that help in unclogging of pores. Certain light scrubs can also be used as an overnight treatment and can be effective in removal of blemishes.
