To cater to the rising need of maintaining a good-looking face, the field of medicine has made enormous leaps in the area of cosmetology. One such treatment that is done is a Rhinoplasty treatment. It is popularly known as the nose job or the nose surgery. The treatment involves reshaping of the nose to correct breathing ailments and also to correct nose disfigurement resulting from congenital disabilities or accidents. The cosmetologist will offer a detailed consultation to the person involved before going ahead with the treatment. During the nose reshaping, the cosmetologist will make a cut inside the nostrils. Then the inner bone and cartilage are cut to get the desired shape. The surgery is performed with local anesthesia, and it is usually an outpatient procedure. After the procedure, a nose splint is worn for a week or two. Swelling and bruising are common in this type of treatment and they usually subside on their own. The final shape of the nose will slowly emerge once the healing process is completely over. Strenuous activity and pressurized jobs should be avoided for six months for the treatment to be a complete success. There is actually no perfect size for the nose, and it all depends on the experience of the surgeon to get the desired quotient. Unless and until the nose surgery is for treating breathing difficulties and other complications, a cosmetologist will have counseling with the patient regarding the alternative treatments.
