I am drinking alcohol for past 1.5 years, some times I had that gastric problems also bile problems but for one week I suddenly quit drinks, wen I started again to have one shot my face became red body heat and my heart beat rate started increasing.

If drinking is excessive and regular it can be addiction to alcohol. If not you have vulnerability for gastritis and other physical conditions. Besides I understand that you are anxious .If you have tendency to drink repeatedly and not able to control it needs de addiction therapy. If not Stop drinking and relaxe.

When a person drinks regularly, he gets dependent on the substance. This state is called Alcohol Dependence syndrome. As you had been drinking continuously, possibility is there you are having dependence on the substance. When a person in the dependent state suddenly quits the alcohol he develops a state called Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome, when the person experiences various symptoms like feeling restless & nervous, increased heart beat, decreased sleep, tremulousness, reduced appetite, seizures, hallucinations etc. Your feeling redness in face,& hot sensation in body, increase in heart rate indicate that you may be developing withdrawal. Now-a-days de-addiction treatments are available for quitting all substances of abuse including alcohol. As withdrawal symptoms are setting in, start treatment at the earliest before the symptoms progresses further. You will have to consult a Psychiatrist for it. Such treatment includes detoxification & rehabilitation program. Medical detoxification is the first stage of de addiction treatment, when the you will be treated with medicines. The withdrawal symptoms which occur on sudden stopping of alcohol will be managed through detoxification treatment. Medical detoxification systematically and safely will withdraw you from alcohol. Next phase of the de-addiction treatment is Rehabilitation program, which includes counseling sessions & other behavioral therapies. These sessions have important role in the de addiction process. Counseling sessions will help to enhance your motivation skills to stay sober, build skills to resist alcohol, replace substance-using activities with constructive and rewarding non substance-using activities, and improve problem-solving abilities. Behavioral therapy will work on interpersonal relationships and your ability to function effectively in the family and community. If craving persist after you quit the alcohol, you will be prescribed anti-craving medicines. To keep up your motivation high & to prevent relapse, better join a support group after treatment. Support group consist of people who had abandoned drinking, & help each other to stay sober by conducting regular sessions & meetings. All the best for quitting alcohol.
