I am 23. Two weeks before I went to a doctor to treat stomach pain. He told its because of gastritis and gave sompraz medicine with a syrup for 5 weeks. There was some relief but Still I am having mild abdomen pain on left side. How long does it take to get rid of gastritis? Is it gastritis or any other problem? How to rule out this?

Hi lybrate-user if it is acute gastritis it will be taken care by medicines. But it is chronic gastritis since many days and now increased. U need to evaluate cause. U will have to do USG of abdomen. Further we can decide based on report. Anyways have adequate water daily 1.5 to 2 litrs minimum and healthy food.
