Hello, At 37th week getting into vigorous dieting is not good. As you are very much close to deliver a full term baby. Technically weight loss during pregnancy is not recommendable unless there is some medical issue (which you haven't mention). If you have gained more than the desired amount of weight (ideally 12-15 KGS) you should keep a watch on your weight by eating well and start slow walking (for at least 30 mins everyday). Include lots of fluids, fresh fruits and vegetables, and low salt (i mean no table use of salt) unless you have been restricted to do so. Sort out your medical issues if any. Take care and be stress free.

Dear Lybrate User, Firstly you need to relax and don't be stressed. Every problem has a solution. At this stage there is no need to panic since you are on the verge of delivery. Keep your mind calm and positive. You can keep a simple and nutritious diet. Take more fruits and water and salads. Cut down Ghee/Butter/ Oils/Sugars/ Sweets and Maida based stuff. You can do slow walks around the house if possible. There is no need to push Panic Button for weight. You can reduce weight even after delivery. Weight reduction happens gradually. Please don't take any pills or shakes. Those are all ineffective. Once your delivery is over. After one / two months you can consult a dietician who will help you to bring your weight down. Stay calm, stay focussed, eat healthy and be happy.
