Hi my wife suffer from sleeplessness. She is 27 years old. She is facing this issue since 3 years. We got married 5 months back. Now she is pregnant too. I was thinking of taking her to psychotherapist but as she is pregnant, I am afraid medication at this time will not be right. Kindly suggest. Also if I could get get help about cure of this problem without sideaffects, it will be great.

Plan, schedule and prioritize sleep! Sleep while you can. In order to stay out of sleep debt, get extra zzz’s wherever you can. Drink lots of fluids during the day, especially water, but cut down on the amount you drink before bedtime. To avoid nausea try to eat bland snacks throughout the day — like crackers. Sleep on your left side to improve the flow of blood and nutrients to your fetus. Put a nightlight in the bathroom instead of turning on the light to use the bathroom — this will be less arousing and help you return to sleep more quickly. Add daytime naps as necessary.
