Thank you for the query. As mentioned by you, your bp reading is 146/96 mm of hg. Any bp reading more than 140/90 mm of hg may be taken as high. However, just one reading is not sufficient for a diagnosis. You need to have 2 check-ups (some recommend 3) to be stamped as hypertensive. However, it is advisable to cut down on your daily salt intake (no extra salt in diet). You need to develop a daily exercise regime. There are a number of medications available to control bp but you need to consult a physician for that. Some basic tests like ecg and lipid profile may be advised to check the cardiovascular status.
