I am 27 years old and it has been 1 year and 6 months since I gave birth to my first child. I had anal fissure surgery 3 months ago. The pain has subsided, but I am still in pain and there is a lump on the spot that is different or it looks like it is burning. I have not stopped using pyloocain ointment and soaking in warm water. When I consulted the doctor, he told me that I should have surgery again and that the surgery may cause problems with stool control. What could happen if I don't do surgery again? I am now 6 weeks pregnant, what should I do?

Hello lybrate-user, as you are pregnant now, you need to rely upon medicines primarily and to avoid any kind of unnecessary surgery. U may continue applying the ointment and sitting in warm water with betadine liquid in it. After delivery only you may be re evaluated and think about any re do surgery if at all it is absolutely necessary. I hope it will be helpful.
