Anal fissure can be completely treated without surgery by graded kshar karma treatment. In this treatment; graded kshar - a specialized ayurvedic medicine is applied in fissure region. This medicine debrides the fissure and induces healing. Usually 3-5 graded kshar karma sittings are required for complete healing of anal fissure. No hospitalization or bed rest is required in this treatment. You can continue your normal routine activities as usual during treatment. Till then you should take sitz bath (hot water tub bath) followed by application of coconut oil. For easy evacuation of bowel you should take some stool softening medicine like haritaki powder 1 tea spoon with warm water in night. For further support; you may call reception at sushruta ano rectal institute.

These creams contain steroids. Good for short interval of one week. Longtime can cause infections. At your young age I encourage high fiber diet, water and avoid constipation by taking lot of fruits. You will require a proctoscopy to look for a fissure. Take care.

Actually I have heard that sentinel piles are caused due to fissure which lasts for longer time but in my case I had fissure pain lasting for about 3-4 days & then too I have a sentinel pile .y is it so? Do size of sentinel piles keep increasing in size due to prolonged sitting (due to office work)? Will sentinel pile grows wherever fissure happened? Can one have multiple sentinel piles?

Anal fistula can not be treated by oral medicine - homeopathic/ allopathic or ayurvedic so usually, surgery is advised to treat this problem. But surgery is not the right choice for the reason of the recurrence of fistula after surgery and other complications like stool incontinence (inability to hold stool) etc. However, this problem can be completely treated without surgery by graded ksharsutra treatment. No hospitalization or bed rest is required in this treatment. You can continue your normal routine activities as usual during this treatment. Clinical trials conducted by the indian council of medical research (icmr) at aiims - new delhi & pgi - chandigarh have confirmed that ksharsutra treatment is more convenient and more effective than surgery in patients suffering from anal fistula. In this treatment graded ksharsutra - a specialized medicated thread is placed in the fistula tract after defining the fistula tract by careful manual probing (primary ligation). Medicine released from graded ksharsutra debrides the fistula tract and induces healing. This medicine works for 5-7 days so old ksharsutra needs to be replaced by a new one at a week or 10 days intervals (weekly sitting). The number of graded ksharsutra changes required for complete healing of anal fistula depends on depth direction and branching pattern of the fistula tract. For further support please contact reception at sushruta ano rectal institute.

No need for cyclopam before colonoscopy. You need a laxative. The doctor doing colonoscopy has to prescribe it.
