Anal Fissure Questions

I was suffering from a lot of pain after passing the stool.  I endured this horrible pain for over an year. But 5 months ago, I visited a general & laparoscopic surgeon and he diagnosed (visual inspection) the problem to be of chronic fissure. He gave me a laxative, some antibiotics and anobliss cream and told me to take these for a month. So here i'm, after 5 months and the pain is still there after passing the stool. And it lasts for many hours in the whole day. After applying the anobliss cream, the pain goes away for a couple of days, but starts again after 3-4 days. So I guess the fissure is recurring again and again. I'm 30 years old obese male, always under stress due to various reasons. And this fissure pain is making it worse. I drink a lot of water (3.5 liter a day) I take duphalac syrup as well as husk every alternate day, but I still pass hard stools sometimes. I'm not highly constipated, because I always have at least one bowel movement every day. Never in my life of 30 years a day has passed without me having a bowel movement. So what could be the reason of hard stool? Anyways, so few days ago, I went to a colorectal surgeon. After inspecting carefully, he said it's not a fissure and those are not anal skin tags. He said, they are anal warts and suggested me to use a lidocaine gel and betadine sits bath. After doing this regularly over the last two weeks, the pain has reduced to a great extent. But now i'm even more worried, after reading about anal warts. I have read online that anal warts are almost always due to hpv virus. And hpv is an std. I have never performed any kind of sexual activity involving another partner. Then how could I get this hpv? What am I supposed to do now? Please help me docs.

Hello anal warts can cause some discomfort but are not so painful as described by you. It's looks more of an anal fissure with skin tags. The idea is that if your fissure dsnt heal with conservative management within a month, or if it recurs again n again, then better is to go for a surgical treatment. It's a small surgery and will treat it once for all. And pls don't worry, even anal papilomas can be excised, and it's not always necessary that it's an std. So you are on the right line of treatment. Get urself examined by a good proctologist or a surgeon in your area, and if it's a chronic anal fissure. Better to get yourself operated. Regards.

Hello Lybrate user taking medicine for pain relief will not resolve your problem permanently. We need to treat your root cause otherwise eventually you will land up with anal stenosis. So better consult local doctor in your area. Till than lots of fluid, high fibre diet & laxatives to avoid constipation. Sitz bath (sitting in luke warm water for 30 min) twice a day.

These medicines are not specific to your fissures. Very effective treatment is available in homoeopathy for this chronic problem. Homeopathic treatment is painless and safe. No side effects. You need comprehensive treatment and it takes some time. Please start taking homeopathic medicine, preliminary dose ratanhia 200-once daily in the morning for 5 days. Book online appointment/consultation with me (commencing from text consult rs 149, audio/phone-rs 300 and video rs 400) for further more comprehensive prescription and treatment.

I am 27 years old (female). From the past two months am having anal fissures as told by the doctor (homeopathy) I had been visiting. I took #b9 drops for around 1 month. Though it seemed to help a little, but it did not cured my pain and bleeding completely. As the stools pass I feel a sharp pain followed by bleeding, the pain then stays for the whole day. I also used pilex forte ointment but that also did not help me. I do not know what to do, I am already drinking 3-4 litres of water a day. Still no change.

Hello I am an allopathic proctosurgeon and don't have much knowledge about homeopathy. However from your history, you seem to be having an anal fissure. Do the following. 1. Avoid red meat and spices. Take lots of fluids and fruits. 2. Do sits baths (warm water tub baths) thrice a day for two weeks 3. Take stool softners like softovac granules bed time with water. 4. Take tab lyser d twice a day for 5 days 5. Apply anaheal cream or anobliss cream thrice a day. If there is no relief in two weeks, then please consult a proctosurgeon or a surgeon in your area. Regards.
