it will definitely reduce the chance of cancer . but that is not the indication for surgery. it is your symptoms and your response to the medicines which will decide the indication for surgery. HoLEP is good if available.

My son name abhishek 25 november 2019 ko uski pilonidal sinus surgery hui hai doctor bol rhe hai infection kafi jyada thav6. 2 mm ka pees nikala hai or dobara hone ke bhi chance hai kya koi permanent solution bhi hai taki ye dobara na ho please advise me. Age 18 year.& weight 72 kg height 5.4 inch hai total test nomal hai.

permanent solution is definitely surgery. but it requires special method of wound coverage. usually I prefer Limberg flap . recurrence will depend on excision margin and how it is covered. so for the moment hope for the best and get the follow up .

Sir. Don't worry. it will subside of it's own. keep it covered with a piece of gauge piece. it usually takes a week or so to get adjusted to its newly found airy exposure.
