I was identified hyperthyroidism in the end of 2021. I started to use 15 mg carbimazole and 40 mg propranolol and now it is reduced to 5 mg carbimazole daily. Now my tsh is 2.6,t4 is 1.6 and t3 is 2.8. I tried to get my partner pregnancy but it always failed. please advice me whether I have to stop the betablockers to get my wife pregnant or should I use radioactive to cure it.

Hello sir, I can understand your concern. Propranolol may decrease the motility of the sperms. However, I would advice you to not stop it abruptly as there can be some withdrawl symptoms. So firstly you and your wife can visit a fertility clinic or doctor, get the tests and medical advice and then depending on what exactly is the underlying cause, you can plan for next. Hope this helps, best wishes!
