Hello Prince, Rice is a cereal high on starch. Excess starch (Sugar) is converted to fat.However if rice is cooked by boiling in excess water and discarding that water its starch content is reduced.Thus having 1/2 cup of this rice for lunch is fine however it should be avoided for dinner.
