My wife delivered a baby on 25 December 2015 but after delivery my wife period stopped. Please tell me that is a serious matter or not. She is feeling not well. She fells pain in whole body. How can again start the period. Please suggest me.

Hello usually after delivery some woman breast feed baby. Then they may not get periods. If she is not feeling well, take her to a doctor to tile out pregnancy and some other medical problems like anemia or other sickness.

Dear lybrate-user, it ix very normal to have no periods for 6 to 8 months when lady is breastfeeding the baby. But make sure you start using contraception as new pregnancy may also occur in this time. As your wife might be feeding the baby give her calcium supplements till she feeds that may be cause of body ache as body calcium is lost. When your baby starts more of diet apart from milk your wife shud start getting periods. Thanks regards.
