Sit in sunlight for 20 t0 30 minutes daily. That will be sufficient for daily rqurement. Vit dis not found much in vegetables etc. Take medicines for vit d deficiency.

Vitamin d is a fat soluble vitamin and is generally not found in vegetarian produce. Body synthesizes vitamin d in presence of sunlight. Non vegetarian diet gives this vitamin from fish liver oils. The vegetable oils when subjected to hydrogenation to make vanaspati ghee are fortefied with fat soluble vitamins a & d. As such hydrogenated fats are not good for health so good exposure to ultraviolet rays in the morning before 12 pm is the natural way to get required doses. In case of deficiency one cannot rely upon dietary or sunlight but has to take therapeutic doses of vitamin d in form of granules, injections etc.
