I was taking lorazepam ativan 2 mg before 13 years old. Now I quit and now I am taking anxozap 10 mg qutan 25 betacap tr 20 pegnt lite from the last 19 to 20 days. Anxozap 10 mg 4 times in a day. Qutan 25 2 times in a day. Betacap tr 20 2 times in a day and pegnt lite 2 times in a day. But I didn't see any response. Still I need ativan. I told this my doctor and he told me in that can you have to detoxification treatment. But I am very low in financial condition. My mother's father is no more. And no one is here to help me out kindly suggest me what should I do it's my humble request. I have a health insurance policy of 25 rupees 25 lakhs. But my doctor told me the health policy is not work in this condition. Please someone help me.

Hi Mr. lybrate-user you may be having a benzodiazepine addiction which is why you find it so difficult to stop the lorazepam. Your ultimate goal should be to stop lorazepam. Start reducing it to 1/2 then 1/4 then 1/8 over two months. It’s very important to stop using benzodiazepines so as to maintain your cognition and memory in the long term. Try deep breathing exercises and deep muscle relaxation techniques to help along the way. Hope this helps
