Hi, I was feeling headache, shortness of breath and mild chest comfort. When I got my test done it shows elevated cholesterol. Total cholesterol - 350, ldl -200, hdl - 48. What should I do to reduce cholesterol quickly. Shall I take allopathic medicine? Or any other alternate way to reduce it? Please guide.

Dear lybrate-user with your symptoms, you must do an ecg, prefereably stress ecg and if required, an echo. Increased cholesterol levels do not lead to shortness of breath and chest discomfort. Please get these tests done at the earliest. Then you can consult for cholesterol .you can ry lifestyle modification first, without any medicine.
