My 3 months baby has cold, grunts while breathing and feels like she has chest congestion but she is not coughing. Pediatrician has given minicold for cold and told to give mucolite 3 times a day only if she coughs alot. But she is not coughing even though she has chest congestion. Please suggest if I should give her mucolite 3 times along with minicold now.

If you will child is coughing a lot you can definitely use mucolite. Otherwise continue with minicold. Plus you can add some nasal saline drops on regular basis alongside steam inhalation with precaution of giving it from a distance and keeping it away from other children if in vicinity.

Use normal saline nasal drops. Seems like she is having a blocked nose. This is causing the grunting.

No minicold, use only mucolite. If congestion continues, she might need antibiotics.
