I would suggest you to - take painkillers if excess pain. Take rest on a hard mattress without pillow. Do relaxing exercises for neck. Physical therapy helps you stretch your neck and shoulder muscles. This makes them stronger and ultimately helps to relieve pain. Get your xray cervical spine done to see the extent of problem.
