Evion contains tocopheryl acetate (vitamin e) which is a natural antioxidant. Moreover, the label on the pack shows a green symbol which states that the product is derived from a vegetarian source. But the outer covering is a softgel which i'm not sure if its vegetarian or not. A softgel is an oral dosage form for medicine similar to capsules. They consist of a gelatin-based shell surrounding a liquid fill. Softgel shells are a combination of gelatin, water, opacifier and a plasticiser such as glycerin or sorbitol. Gelatin is derived from animal sources but there are other more recent but expensive forms of gelatin which are vegan and vegetarian as they are derived from vegetarian sources. But, I don't know if the gelatin used in the evion softgel is vegetarian or not. If you do not want to consume evion, there are natural sources of vitamin e which can replenish your lack of vitamin e. Some foods rich in vitamin e are sunflower seeds, methi or fenugreek leaves or seeds, spinach or palak, almonds and papaya. If you include these in your regular daily diet, you will not require to take evion softgel. Please note: further check up, history and examination may be required, seek immediate medical attention if you experience worsening of symptoms.
