Hi I am 28 years old female. I have been applying betnovate c weekly three four times on face for whiteheads since 5,6 years. My skin used to look radiant next day. Now my skin is used to applying betnovate c. If I do not apply at least once in a week, my skin looks rough. How should I handle this?

You should not apply any steroid cream over face ,it can cause too many complications like increased hair over face, redness, dryness etc, consult me through private chat, will see pictures and can give treatment.

Sterioids are a double edged weapon in the treatment of skin diseases. Used judiciouly, under the supervision of a dermatologist for short periods of time, they can work wonders. However I note that you have been using very high potency steroid for a very long period of time. This long use of steriods will cause thinning of the skin and damage. As you have said, it is difficult to stop the steroids, becuase there will be some rebound problems. However the correct course of treatment would be that you stop steroid completely- I know that it will be a tough time for you, as your skin starts looking rough. But after a certain period of time (few months) we can get you a better skin than what you started with.
