Dear lybrate-user, in mature cataract, surgery is the choice and infact cataract surgery was first done by susrut, an ayurvedic surgeon. But in immature cataract you can try saptamrit louha, some ayurvedic eyedrops and triphala swaras douching to delay the progress. You should consult an ayurvedic opthalmologist.

Surgery is the choice for cataract post surgery for maintaining you can take ayurvedic treamnts like akshitarpan and some eyesdrops.

Yes, cataract is curable in ayurveda. We have mahatriphala ghrit, nerve up tablet and many other herbal formulations which makes it easier to treat cataract at initial stage. We too have panchakarma procedures like akshi tarpna which is also best in cataract.
