Sudden sharp pain in left leg's calf while standing or walking. It happens for a mild second or so but it is so sharp I have to stop putting weight on it and I literally can't move for that fraction of second. Pain again goes off and comes back randomly. I never had any kind of medical history in terms of injuries. I observed this kind of pain few days back when I was lying on my bed, about to for a sleep at night. After two or three days, today afternoon it again came back. I want to understand what can be source of this pain and how I can control this. I am not sure if this is a muscle cramp bcuz I had cramp once but this pain happens for a split second and repeats itself again after a while. Thanks a lot for all your inputs.

Seated calf stretch: try this exercise in bed to help relieverls cramping and discomfort that can keep you awake. Sitting in bed, straighten your right leg and flex your right foot toward you, clasping your hands around your toes. Pull your toes toward you and hold for 20-30 seconds. Repeat with the opposite leg.
