I am diabetic 53 years old. Ed and stiffness problem I have. I take tadalafil 10. Can I continue or any better option you can suggest.

Hello, thanks for the query. Ed is one of the commonest early complication seen in patients with diabetes. It is due to the damage to microvasculature of penile muscle. Drugs like tadanafil do help. Can be continued as and when needed. Simultaneously most important aspect is to achieve a strict glucose control with fasting glucose being < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg, pp 150 to 170 mg & hba1c% < 6.8% or even lower. One more point is that with a bmi of over 41 kgs/sq meter (normal < 23 kgs/sq meter) you are already in morbid obese category. This is a major hindrance in achieving strict glucose control as well as for ed. So there is a serious need for looking weight reduction. I hope you are aware of this problem. Thanks.
