I am 25 years old. I had occasional knee pain in my right knee for past 2-3 years. Then I consulted an orthopedist about 3 months ago. He told me to get mri done. My mri report showed acl sprain and grade 1 meniscus tear. So as per my report he suggested me one month physiotherapy, some exercises and dosage of indocap sr. Physical therapy gave me small relief. But now again I have started to feel the pain and I also feel clicking sensation in the back of my left knee accompanied by mild pain. When I sit or stand after some time I feel clicking sensation in my knee. Please suggest what should I do. I am just 25.

Hi Sir, First of all you reduce body weight, precautions are most important in your condition, give rest to the knee, avoid prolonged sitting, standing, avoid climbing stairs but if it is compulsory means climb 2 steps and stop for a while and continue like that till upto the last step, if you pressure more on the joint leads to pain, avoid exercises if you are getting pain, wear knee brace while doing activities, once you consult your physiotherapist.

You first have to reduce your weight as your having meniscal tear. because your body weight is mainly coming on knees. Continue your physio of knees. And if not relived then get arthroscopy of your knee done and meniscal repair.
