I am 11 weeks pregnant ian diagnosed with diabetes during pregnancy. My hba1c is 6.5%. My fasting sugar is not getting down its 132, 137,140.after meal is around 180 so my gyn recommend me insulin as it's not safe for baby. I am taking 4unit of novorapid pen before breakfast but after taking it my sugar level is going up not down. Earlier two days it's showed some improvement but not my fasting sugar is 145 and after meal is 240. Kindly suggest.

You should consult an endocrinologist who will most likely increase the dose of insulin and give multidose regimen. A word of caution. Uncontrolled diabetes in early pregnancy cud mean greater risk of abnormalities in fetus. please get first trimester and second trimester screening as well as fetal echo done at the recommended timings.
