I had problem of piles from last 2 years and since then I have been losing weight continuously. Though I have gone through the treatment and got rid of the problem, but still I am losing weight. I had thought that after the treatment I would be able to gain weight again but instead I am constantly losing it. I was around 62 kgs and now my weight has come down to 53 kgs. Can there be any other reason behind this? Should I go for a full body check up and see what's wrong? Or just consult a GP?

Yes, you need some investigations, piles could not be responsible for weight loss though it can cause you anaemia if you lost blood for prolonged time with piles. If you are taking good diet than weight loss without any reason is not possible. Go for thyroid test that is T3 T4 TSH and CBC and FBS.

You must show to A surgeon and I would advice a Sigmoidoscopy/Colonoscopy along with other relevant blood tests.
