My mother aged of 70+ is suffering from many years of uncontrolled foul smelling urine passage. She finds difficulty in walking due to pain in the legs and takes ultracet everyday. Earlier she used to take diclofenac 50. Can these tablets be the cause for urinary problems?

Get urine examination at a lab near you. It can be infection or even in elderly due to bad hygiene of perineal area. Sometimes they don't keep their body hydrated so dehydration causes urine to get concentrated and cause that typical urea smell. Drink plenty of water. Other cause may be in elderly they don't have come control over bladder. Leading to dripping of urine causing soiling of clothes and foul smell.
