The doctor I'm consulting to for irregular periods she's giving me Duphaston 10 mg for 6 months and then Diane 35 for 3 months and she's repeating one after the other since last year, once I'm done with Diane-10 days for 3 months she again gives me Duphaston-5 days for 6 months. Now I'm again taking Duphaston. I just want to know taking these medicines from such a long time in a repeated manner won't be any harm later, will it cause side effects or is this the actual treatment?

Your treatment depends upon your irregular periods. Like if you want to get pregnant then treatment will be different. And if you want just to regular your periods then treatment different. Now what Dr. is giving is just to regular your periods. And about side effect this only is treatment and taking this tab may increase your weight. So better according to me you get conceive finish your family then there won't be any problem with your irregular periods.
