Hello, I have been smoking for a few years and now that I have taken a quit of the habit, I want to know that How could I get rid of the tar accumulation in lungs caused due to smoking. Also, during cough my phlegm contains many small particles in it mostly greyish to brown in colours. I have foamy thick sputum in morning since many days and occasionally a blood lining in cough when I used to smoke, though my chest x ray is all clear. Are these the symptoms of any major disease or is it normal to have blood sometimes for smokers. I used to smoke 3-4 ciggs. A day. Kindly prescribe some medicines Thanks.
