Hello lybrate-user Staghorn stones with non functioning kidney mandates its removal. Primary reason being formation of pus inside and which may lead to grave problems later when it is difficult for handle. He might be having some problems getting his PAC preanaesthetic check up cleared in view of his current comorbidities viz Cardiac, Diabetes etc. It is imperative to get PAC cleared and go ahead.
