I had an Aortic valve surgery with mechanical valve in october 2016. Recently I visited a dentist due to toothache. He told me that I ll need a tooth extraction and dental implant. Is it safe to have this procedure and what is the cost of this procedure in chennai? What are the precautions that I should be taking pre and post this procedure.

Extraction again depends if you are eating aspirin (blood thinner).. you would have to stop eating aspirin. .for three days before extraction and be on antibiotics from two days prior extraction .. if the tooth is too infected .. it is advised only to get extraction done ... and wait for the bone to form below .. after 6 months if situation is right you can go for implant ....and two days after extraction you would not not have to take aspirin..kindly take decision consciously ...
