Hi I am suffering from dengue fever from past 2 days. My Ns1 test value was 36.7 and the platelet count is 2.5 lac. I am under a doctor's supervision who have asked me to drink plenty of water and take rest. I read on internet that papaya leaf extract is good in dengue fever. How true is this and is there any OTC syrups or pills from any good brand?

Papaya is supposed to be a natural treatment for low platelets. Your doctor gave you the best advice possible. Stay hydrated. That is the best thing you can do for dengue. And your platelet count is very good, you need not worry at all. Just watch out for symptoms like bleeding from mouth nose and any other part. There are papaya extract tablets which you can purchase.
