I have recently got a proposal .I like the guy in all aspects but while speaking to him I noticed he has one tooth in left protruding ,so while speaking his lips shift a little towards right. Is this a nervous disorder or because there is a tooth so this is happening? Rest all the time he spoke I did not notice him .Is it possible that every time he speaks there is a shift. I am not sure .Kindly help me If there is any way out. I thought removing the tooth might help but it is initial stage and can't ask him. Not sure how he might take this.

Hello, If the shift is not consistent it may be due to tooth, however if its consistently occurring it may be due to some nerve problem. You may take him to dentist to find out actual cause, considering your situation in which you may not ask him directly for dentist visit. You both may visit dentist for regular check-up sort of thing. All the best Regards!

If you are planning a future with this guy, you directly ask him about his problem (may be tooth related, may be bell's palsy may be something else). Ask him to visit a dental or medical checkup accordingly ans show him that you are concerned. If you are not planning any long term relationship, leave him now only with all his physical defects. No one has right to judge you but people do it as often as possible.

Hi lybrate-user The lip movement that you noticed could be due to anxiety, or just a habit that has developed over time. As for the tooth, there are several ways of handling/ correcting the protrusion, if he is keen on it. Its a minor issue that can be easily corrected.

Braces would be a better idea to get it corrected but its time taking .if the problem is minor a cap over that tooth after rct will also correct it.

I think you should go ahead and marry this guy because he is good in all the other aspects that you want regarding his teeth you can get it fixed even after marriage after you get him in confidence this is a very small problem in life and what I can understand it's mostly because of crowding in his teeth and not due to any neurological problem.

You can get the tooth grinder a little or capped ... or if you want natural tooth movement then braces to make the protruding tooth straight... there can be another reason .. may be it's just his habit to talk ...like that ...
