What are the nutrients present in potato. I have read somewhere that potato is eaten as a complete food in some places.

Potato is rich in starch has little fat and no cholesterol. It help in digestion of simple sugars so helps to control glucose level. It contains iron, manganese,potassium. Alongwith skin, it is a rich source of vit c and B complex vitamins. It contains quarcetin which has anti cancer properties. Boiled potato with skin is beneficial but fried potato is not.

Potatoes are a very good source of vitamin B6 and a good source of potassium, copper, vitamin C, manganese, phosphorus, niacin, dietary fiber and pantothenic acid.
