Bactogard 100 MG Syrup treats mild bacterial infections. This antibacterial medication stops bacteria from spreading. It helps in treating diseases such as bronchitis (infection of the air passages to the lungs), gonorrhea (a sexually transmitted disease) and infections of ear, throat, tonsils and urinary tract. This medication does not work for viral infections like flu.

Bactogard 100 MG Syrup is available in the form of chewable tablets and liquid solution. It is usually taken at intervals of 12 hours for 5 to 14 days.

Take this medication at the same time every day. If you miss a dose, never take two doses at one go. Overdosing can cause harmful effects in your body. It’s better to skip a missed dose. It is important to check all the ingredients before the medication. It can help you avoid having allergic reactions later in case you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Notify your doctor if you are taking any prescribed drugs or dietary supplements. Store Bactogard 100 MG Syrup in a tightly closed container. Store the tablets at room temperature and away from excess heat, liquid medication should be kept at cold temperature. Dispose the liquid medications after 15 days. Keep them out of the reach of children and pets.

• Urinary Tract Infection

  Bactogard 100 MG Syrup is used to cure urinary tract infection caused by E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci and Klebsiella pneumoniae.

• Ear Infection (Otitis Media)

  It helps in treating otitis media caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Klebsiella pneumoniae.

• Pharyngitis/Tonsillitis

  Bactogard 100 MG Syrup cures Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae and some fungal infections.

• Bronchitis

  Bactogard 100 MG Syrup treats bronchitis caused by Streptococcus pneumonia, Haemophilus influenzae and some Mycoplasma pneumoniae.

• Gonococcal Infection

  Bactogard 100 MG Syrup is used to treat Gonococcal infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

• Allergy

  Do not take this medication if you have a known allergy to Bactogard 100 MG Syrup or any other Beta lactam antibiotics.

• How long is the duration of effect?

  The effect of this medication lasts for a duration of upto 4 hours.

• What is the onset of action?

  The peak effect of this medication can be observed within 3 to 4 hours of administration of the dose.

  Pregnant women should not use this medication. Consult your doctor before using this medication.

  No, it does not contain habit forming tendencies.
