PDD or Pervasive Development Disorders include a number of behavioral disorders induced by delays in some basic skills involving the mind. The affected child faces difficulty while socializing with others and often fumbles during communication. There are five types of PDD and they are Autism, Asperger's syndrome, Childhood Disintegrative Disorder, Rett's Syndrome and Unspecified Pervasive Development Disorders.
HOW IS PDD DIAGNOSED?
Many children with autism also have a degree of mental retardation.
