Epilepsy in children refers to a condition where children experience seizures due to the collective electrical signal/charge emission by all the brain cells. The seizures in children are really difficult to diagnose and they happen very rapidly. The most common symptoms for this among children are muscle spasms, loss of consciousness and strange behavior among others. The symptoms are experienced only by the child, therefore, it is essential that the parents keep the child under surveillance so that they can try to explain the symptoms in an efficient manner.
HOW IS EPILEPSY IN CHILDREN DIAGNOSED?
Seizures are usually subtle and short, such as an absence seizure in which the child has brief episodes of decreased awareness and responsiveness.
