A condition pertaining to the eye in which the lens gradually become opaque resulting in blurred vision is referred to as a Cataract. The accumulation of protein on and around the lens leads to cloudy vision and is the cause of cataracts. The new cells which form around the lens forces the older cells to get compressed and get concentrated around the center of the lens leading to impaired vision. Some of the common symptoms are cloudy vision, decreased night vision and progressive myopia. Improvisations in glass prescription and surgical treatments are some of the methods of cure.
