It all depends how good is your body's response. Therefore, you need to discuss about your plans and concerns with your doctor. Do not abruptly stop medicines or adapt any shortcut methods. Read from the internet about the influence of a balanced diet and exercise (including yoga) on the body and take all the precautions.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
A patient of diabetes should first start treatment with appropriate medication to control increased blood glucose level and also bring HbA1c% to around 6.8. Secondly take a properly planned restricted diet, that gives exact calories based on his weight and extent of exercise, then exercise regularly for at least 1 hour a day. As regards the diet or type of foods to take - a detailed diet plan can be given only when all the details are made available li...more

How long are you a diabetic?
HbA1c is more relatable to your diabetes than fbs or ppbs as it gives a 3 month average percentage.
If you have uncontrolled diabetes for more than 5 years get a diabetic profile which can include the following: fbs, ppbs, hba1c, lipid profiling, b12, ECG, renal function tests, urine microalbuminuria, urine analysis.
Opthalmology and Podiatrist consultation may also be required to rule out onset of retinopathy and neuropathy
A good diet plan that is p...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Fasting 133 mg is showing presence of diabetes. PP 172 mg is slightly less. So it is better if you check HbA1c%, that will give a clear picture. Diabetes is confirmed if it is more than 6.5 %. Diet control and regular exercise of over 1 hour a day is a must. Thanks.
