Firstly what kind of exercises? May be your exercises aggravating your problem.
Do exercises under the guidance of an experienced physiotherapist.
Do hot fomentation twice daily.
Avoid prolonged bending of neck and back.
Avoid prolonged standing and sitting.
Avoid lifting of weights.
Most important take care of your posture.
Take care.
