Firstly the cause of ulcer should be establishes. You should do a upper gi endoscopy if not done yet. Also get a healthy lifestyle, avoid spicy oily food, also avoid painkillers. Don't lay down in the bed with in 30 mins of eating food. Take tablets like pantoprazole 40 mg once daily 30 mins before breakfast. Eat more green vegetables and banana. If you feel constipated you can take syrup lactihep 15 ml once daily before bed time. Do endoscopy and report to the doctor. Hope it helps.

medicine alone is not the treating factor for constipation. The underlying conditions too need to be evaluated. Continuous and prolonged time of intake of stool softeners are not advisable. Diet and lifestyle modifications are important.
For now please take capsule smuth 500 mg one cap before going to bed at night.
Consider taking consultation for further evaluation and treatment.
